Guest Wi-Fi & Captive Portal Terms
These terms apply when you connect to a venue guest Wi-Fi network operated or managed using DM Digital UK or HostedTable services.
1. Service operator
The venue provides the local internet access and is normally responsible for the guest relationship. DM Digital UK Services Ltd may provide the captive portal, authentication, cloud management and technical support.
2. No guaranteed service
Access is provided on a best-efforts basis and may be slow, restricted, monitored, filtered, interrupted or withdrawn. The network is not suitable for emergency, safety-critical, confidential or guaranteed communications.
3. User responsibility
You are responsible for your device, applications, security, activity and data usage. Use current security software and avoid transmitting sensitive information over an untrusted network unless protected by suitable encryption.
4. Prohibited use
You must not use the network for unlawful content, harassment, infringement, fraud, spam, hacking, scanning, malware, circumvention, excessive bandwidth, unauthorised commercial use or activity that harms the venue, provider or other users.
5. Security and monitoring
Operational information may be logged for authentication, security, capacity, troubleshooting, abuse prevention and consent records. This may include device identifiers, MAC address, IP address, connection times, access point, verification attempts and traffic metadata. We do not promise to inspect content and do not accept a duty to monitor every user.
6. Blocking and enforcement
Devices and accounts may be blocked, rate-limited or disconnected without notice where abuse, security risk, repeated verification failure or excessive use is suspected.
7. Marketing choices
Marketing consent must be optional, specific and separate from access unless law permits otherwise. A venue must not claim that optional marketing is required for Wi-Fi if that is not true. Opt-out instructions should be provided in marketing messages.
8. Privacy
The venue’s privacy notice explains its use of guest information. Our Corporate Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy explain platform processing. The venue is responsible for signage and customer-facing transparency at the Site.
9. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, neither the venue nor DM Digital UK is responsible for loss caused by use of an open or shared network, third-party content, malware, interception, unavailable services or user conduct.
10. Termination
Access ends when you disconnect, the session expires, the venue withdraws access or the network is suspended. Clauses relating to liability, privacy, evidence and enforcement survive.
Legal notices
Formal notices must be sent using the notice method stated in the applicable Order or through the authenticated customer portal. Where no method is stated, notices may be delivered to the registered office above. Operational support messages are not formal legal notices unless expressly identified as such.
