HostedTable Guest Booking & Account Terms
These terms apply to diners and other end users making a booking through HostedTable or using a HostedTable customer account.
1. Who provides what
HostedTable is a technology platform operated by DM Digital UK Services Ltd. The venue shown in the booking journey provides the restaurant, accommodation, event or hospitality service and is responsible for the booking contract.
We are not the venue, food provider, accommodation provider, event organiser or payment merchant unless the booking page expressly says otherwise.
2. Booking information
You must provide accurate contact, party, date, time and requirement information. You should review the confirmation and contact the venue promptly if anything is wrong.
A booking request is not necessarily accepted until confirmation is displayed or sent. Network, email and SMS delays do not create or cancel a booking.
3. Venue policies
The venue may apply deposits, card guarantees, cancellation charges, arrival times, table duration, age limits, dress rules, event terms, accessibility arrangements, outdoor-seating conditions or other policies. Those policies form part of your contract with the venue.
4. Allergies and accessibility
Do not rely solely on an online note for a serious allergy, medical need or accessibility requirement. Contact the venue directly and confirm requirements with staff on arrival. HostedTable does not assess food safety or a venue’s ability to accommodate a requirement.
5. Amendments, cancellations and no-shows
Use the venue’s approved contact or booking-management link. Cancellation or amendment is effective only when confirmed. The venue may mark a booking as a no-show or apply its own lawful charges.
6. Customer accounts
You may book as a guest or create a HostedTable customer account. A registered account may be used across participating venues and may show your bookings, contact details and preferences.
You must keep credentials secure, use accurate information and notify us if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require verification, reset credentials or disable an account to protect users or comply with law.
7. Venue access to account information
A participating venue can access information relevant to bookings made with that venue and may maintain venue-specific notes and preferences. It does not receive unrestricted access to your activity at other venues.
8. Communications
Service messages may include confirmations, reminders, amendments, cancellation or no-show notices, event information, pre-order requests and security messages. Delivery is not guaranteed.
Marketing is subject to the venue’s or sender’s privacy notice and applicable consent rules. You can object or unsubscribe using the method provided.
9. Payments
Payments and refunds are normally processed for the venue by a payment provider. Contact the venue about charges, refunds and disputes. We may provide technical assistance but do not decide the venue’s refund policy.
10. Prohibited use
You must not make fraudulent, abusive or speculative bookings, impersonate others, misuse promotional offers, attempt unauthorised access, disrupt the platform or submit unlawful content.
11. Availability and errors
The platform may be unavailable or contain errors. We may correct booking data, withdraw a feature or require you to contact the venue. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights.
12. Complaints
Complaints about food, service, venue policies, cancellation charges or the hospitality experience must be directed to the venue. Complaints about the operation of the HostedTable account or platform may be submitted through HostedTable support.
13. Liability
We do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not responsible for the venue’s acts, omissions, service, food, premises, cancellation, closure, injury, loss or failure to honour a booking.
14. Governing law
These platform terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory rights to bring proceedings in your home jurisdiction.
Legal notices
Formal notices must be sent using the notice method stated in the applicable Order or through the authenticated customer portal. Where no method is stated, notices may be delivered to the registered office above. Operational support messages are not formal legal notices unless expressly identified as such.
